Surgeon (1902-1981). Walton received his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in 1927. After an internship at Barnes Hospital Walton served as resident surgeon from 1930-32; instructor of clinical surgery from 1937-1938; assistant dean of the Washington University School of Medicine from 1938-1946; associate professor of Surgery from 1946-1970; assistant professor of Clinical Surgery from 1947-1970.
